Had to privilege to meet Joe who came out and provided me an estimate/cost for my shower tub replacement to a walk in shower. He was very respectful, upfront and honest. His attention to detail explaining the process is on point. As a former contractor myself I can attest that everything he mentioned was the correct process in the installation. Highly recommend him if you’re looking to do any future home projects.

Team did a great job. Arrived on time, kept the house clean and communicated every step of the way. We could not be more happy about our new bathroom. Bill took time to walk us through the entire process and from picking out finishes, flooring, and fixtures to paint colors and cabinets. It all looks so good! I would highly recommend the team at Benchmark. The transformation is amazing!

We are extremely happy with the work that Benchmark did transforming our dingy circa 1980's gold tiled bathroom into this bright new version. This was a complete gut job and Bill's crew were on time, polite, careful with their workmanship, and tidied up nicely everyday. Their attention to detail made our day and we would definitely recommend them!

We recently decided to eliminate our tub and replace it with a walk in shower. After extensive research and some estimates, we decided to go with Benchmark, rather than the bigger outfitters that you see on TV. Bill, the owner, was extremely helpful in addressing all of our concerns. 

The crew consisted of Dave, Christian, and Hayden. All three were professional and friendly. Hats off to Christian for a perfect job with my tile concerns. It was completed in 1 day. I highly recommend this company.

Quality materials and team who take pride in their work. You may get it cheaper but you get what you pay for. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to have work on their bathroom. No hard sales or up selling. A good local find.

We had two bathtub/showers removed and replaced. One with just a shower and the other with a tub/shower. We were extremely pleased with the work that was done. The workers were very courteous and professional. They answered any and all questions or concerns we had. The price was a little more than we had anticipated spending but overall worth what we paid.

After thinking about this project for several years, we chose Benchmark Baths for our remodel. We appreciated their apparent mission statement, and every part of our experience was a good and positive one. 

When the day came for our install, our workers Christian and Hayden arrived on time, carefully protected all surfaces leading to and within the room, and immediately began working. All concerns and questions were answered in an informed and patient manner, and issues encountered were promptly handled. Although we were warned that the project might take two days, they were finished within the workday. All garbage was removed and we were left with a beautiful brand shiny new shower! If you are considering a remodel, you should not hesitate to hire Benchmark Baths!

I rarely write reviews, however I feel this one is warranted. I am having mobility issues and was in need of a tub removal and shower installation. I reviewed many companies and decided to call Benchmark and I am not sorry. Bill and his staff are very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable and their work is meticulous. Danny, Mike and Al were in my home the better part of 4 days with not one unpleasant experience. They were very considerate of my elderly father as well. This is a great company with great staff. They certainly mastered their trade. Great craftsmanship ! I would highly recommend this company.

Overall great team, they came when they said they were, updated daily on progress, and what to expect following days. Friendly, courteous and good with household animals. We are happy with the process start to finish thank you!

Shower Replacement: 

What can I say about Benchmark and our new shower. We should have done this years ago. From the initial meeting through construction, Benchmark Baths was awesome, exceeding expectations. Their workmanship is over the top. 

The guys installing our new shower were so courteous and professional. They did the work in 1 1/2 days and cleaned up at the end of each day, so we could use our bedroom and bathroom during the night in between construction. Bill, one of the owners, was very helpful in making the transition to the new shower. 

At the end of the project, we didn’t have to do anything. All the shower and finish work around the shower was completed, and the bathroom and bedroom were cleaned to before construction condition. We didn’t have to do anything other than use our shower. Taking a shower is like being in a gentle rain and I can’t say enough about how beautiful it makes our bathroom look.

If you're looking for a walk-in shower like I got or a full bathroom remodel, don’t hesitate on calling Benchmark, I’m glad I did. Welcome did a tub to shower conversion and loved everything they added like the black trim to match the marble the rain shower and the flip seating. They were in and out in 1 day cleaned everything nicely and called later in the month to make sure we were happy and we were. We give them a high five 10.

I heard a lot of horror stories about bathroom remodels that made me postpone my renovation for years. Then one day at the West End fair, I took a chance and walked over to the booth that Benchmark had set up. made an appointment and Ta Da! I now have a beautiful new bathroom. It's so pretty I didn't want to use it! These guys do what they say and are very professional. They put my needs first and always asked if I was pleased with the work. We have our walk in shower installed by Benchmark Baths for two years already. We are very happy with the quality of work, courtesy and professionalism of the team. The company owner made the process of choosing the right design to control the completed project easy, efficient and stress free.

They truly are the "benchmark" all other contractors need to meet. Excellent communication during quoting, as the materials were received and the job scheduled, and as the job was being done. Everyday laid out tarps and cleaned up at night so I didn't even know they had worked that day. I live in a Townhouse complex and even though they worked outside everything was neat and the other residents had no complaints. Kept on the original schedule with no surprises. The work done was beyond my expectations both on overall quality but also details that I would have overlooked. The guys felt like good friends from start to finish. I've heard lots of horror stories about contractors but Benchmark Baths was a dream to work with.

I was very pleased with Benchmark. They replaced my jetted tub with a new Kohler jetted tub and replaced the entire shower/bath area with composite wall panels, strong grab bars and plenty of accessory fixtures. All was done in one day at significantly less cost than the other four estimates I obtained. In addition, at my request, they returned the next day to repair the flooring under my toilet for a very reasonable charge. Bill Daly was most helpful in making the plans and accommodating my needs. I have waited four months before writing this review to assure that the renovation would endure. It has. I strongly recommend Benchmark even if you have other competitive estimates.

Benchmark Baths were invaluable when I needed a shower remodel for my husband as his cancer progressed and he required something more handicap accessible. It was five-star service from start to finish and the final product is many levels above my wildest dreams. We were going through the HISA grant process (veterans thing), and Bill made all that a breeze. He handled it all for us and even helped speed it up some, which, if you've ever dealt with the VA, was a wonderful thing. If you are a veteran, this is the company you want to deal with. When the day finally came, they completed the entire remodel in four hours. While I was searching for someone to do this, I waited an entire week for a quote from another company. One still hasn't responded. We will always be grateful to Benchmark Baths, as now my husband can take a real shower again. I couldn't recommend them more. The finished product is just incredible, and I will certainly be using them in the future if I ever need my other bathroom redone!

Great company! Cost effective and responsive

We were looking to replace our old tub with a walk-in shower. We met with Bill from Benchmark Baths and are very happy we did. He came to our house with many samples but there was no pressure to make a sale. He was very professional and down to earth. His team, Josh, Dave and Christian, did a great job. They worked straight through from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, a very happy group of guys and worked very well together. There were also two other workers that removed our window. We are so happy to have that window gone. We love how our new shower looks now. We have a rustic look and we all love it. This truly was a great experience and we would highly recommend this company. Dan and Gary were excellent. They worked hard neat and clean and got the job done on schedule. Both workers were respectful of us being in the home while they were doing the install. They added extra safety hand rails along the walls from the bedroom to the bath and did an excellent job. The weather was below 0 degrees with high winds which did not slow them down! Working with Bill from Benchmark Baths made me feel from day 1 like I was working with family. He took the time to answer ALL of my questions. I’ve been burned so many times by local contractors/handymen I wanted to make sure before I let Bill in my house he was aware that I was going to be super skeptical. Bill came as scheduled wasted no time. Showed us everything he had to offer. Made us an amazing deal we agreed right there on the spot. Normally you would shop around and see if you could get a better deal but I did my research. I read Benchmark reviews and the pictures were exactly what I wanted in my shower. We were scheduled for November but were offered an earlier spot. I was so excited. Benchmark Baths’ workers were super professional. Came on time literally maybe an 8 hour day, they cleaned up and left us with a whole new shower! I wish I had found them sooner. I was suffering for years from a horribly made shower from a local contractor. I wasted my money and had nothing to show for it. I am so glad I met Bill at our local fair and stopped to talk with him. Within a week he was here to give an estimate which was much lower than a few other estimates we’ve gotten from other companies. A local company was what I was looking for and one who doesn’t subcontract. The crew that arrived the day of install was great. They were very professional and polite. They did an amazing job. 1st off, you're dealing with the owner here. Not some pushy salesman like these tv guys have. He is polite, punctual, and responsible. Gave me a fair price, had an excellent crew who worked extremely well together. I am a guy who expects a lot for my hard earned money. I got every penny's worth. More than I even imagined. Save yourself some time and call Benchmark if you are considering bathroom upgrades. I love my new shower, I think I will go take a shower now.

We needed to convert our bath tub to a walk in shower for my husband who is a disabled veteran. As always, we were going to get quotes from at least 3 different companies. Benchmark Baths was the first company we called. Bill made very good impression, and he is also very familiar in helping obtain grants through the VA so we decided to work with his company.
Bill has organization and communication skills beyond excellency. Every scheduled meeting he was on time and very well prepared, every requested document was delivered in a timely manner. Another reason that we chose Benchmark Bath was that Bill follows the laws like having workman's comp and proper liability insurance for his employees and business.
We didn't want to compare pricing with the other companies, but from my research, the pricing was very fair. Bill also gave a significant veterans discount.
Every member of Benchmark Bath’s crew has exceptional skills and have very good manners. They respected our property, did a magnificent, professional job on a tub to shower conversion in just 6 hours! They left our house and property clean. We needed a handicap accessible shower redone. It was previously done by a state grant and have been having issues with it for a few years. After a failed city inspection for the shower we found Benchmark Baths on Angi. Bill called us and set up a meeting to see what was actually happening and what needed to be remodeled. He was 100% up front. We met a few days later and picked the style of the shower. He handled everything immediately and even with the slow process of the city permit department, Bill kept us up to date with a start date. The work was completed in 4 days (as he told us) his crew was amazing and the work done is beautiful! I will be recommending them again.

From day 1 my husband and I were unhappy with the shower the contractor had installed in our master bathroom 13 years ago. We talked about replacing it many times. We just had our 1980s bathroom completely remodeled by Benchmark Baths of Tannersville, PA and couldn't be more pleased with the beautiful results.

The process was smooth and stress-free from start to finish and was completed in less than four days (two days sooner than promised)—a job that other general contractors said would take 3-4 weeks. Benchmark Baths is a locally owned small business that is focused and passionate about transforming bathrooms.

Bill was very responsive to our initial inquiry and every step of the way until the work was completed to our full satisfaction. In fact, we are planning to have his team return for some additional work. There was no pressure or attempts to upsell. He was patient and spent more than two hours explaining our design options and gave us an up-front, guaranteed estimate which was honored even though some additional unplanned work was needed.

On the day services were performed, Bill and his team of dedicated professionals arrived promptly at 8:00 AM as promised and got right to work. With all hands-on deck, it took less than eight hours to gut the entire bathroom, install a new Sentrel shower unit in place of the old combination tub/shower, and haul away the debris. The team worked very hard, having to run up and down to the second floor, but no one complained. The crew was pleasant and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. They were professional and courteous, and each day after the work was finished, they completely cleaned up the area.

I had Benchmark Baths out to give me a quote before I pulled the trigger on doing a tile shower in my house and I am so glad I did. Benchmark completed a tub to shower conversion for us. Bill was very helpful from the day he came to show us what he could do through to the completion of the project. Bill and his team are THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Take it from someone who talked to probably seven or eight contractors before signing with Benchmark! Cannot say enough good things, but knowing what’s important to many people, I offer some highlights:
1. As your first point of contact, Bill shows up when he says he will, and his estimate is immediate - and fair. (Again, seven or eight contractors…)
2. Bill is a salesman but not a salesman. Among the reasons I signed with him were his lack of fast talk, his low-key, low-pressure demeanor, and the fact that he did not spend his time or mine denigrating what other people or businesses had to offer. He was straightforward and honest about where he could save me money and where it would not be worth trying to pinch pennies. He also was flexible - willing to deviate from his norms a bit, go above and beyond, and accommodate a few special requests he might not get regularly.
3. After I signed, he was responsive to text messages and timely, a consummate professional. His team showed up when promised and finished when promised, which is definitely not a given these days.
4. These good people are trustworthy and transparent and just fun to work with. The two gentlemen who did the bulk of the work spent three days in my home - my project extras necessitated a third day - and kept me informed about the minor but surmountable challenges the entire time. They were laid back and friendly yet hardworking pros. They invited me to make my own decisions about set-up while offering the wisdom of their own experience, which I appreciated.
Bill began each day with them and kept in touch with them and me throughout the project. I chose a challenging wall pattern to hang (from the Simtile collection). It requires perfect placement to line up the “grout lines.” These guys nailed it!
5. I absolutely LOVE the result. Benchmark did the installation of the new tub, the wall system and all hardware, plus extended the wall system behind my sink, which really adds the wow factor, if you ask me. A master plumber who works regularly with Bill’s team also added a second sink in a bedroom on the opposite wall, which has me over the moon. We did our own finishing touches - floor, vanity, electrical/lighting, etc. I am grateful Bill was game for the contractor/homeowner team effort, which was what made this dream project even possible.
No regrets! No complaints! Happy - ECSTATIC! - customer!

Benchmark Baths hands down is the company you want to hire to do your tub to shower conversion or bathroom remodel. Bill is a honest upfront salesman with extensive knowledge of the industry. His team, John & Dan were very professional in every aspect of the installation of our tub to shower conversion. We did our research for this project, and Bill gave us a price thousands less than the other companies we had give us estimates. Give them a call, you will be glad you did.
